A one year (Sept – May) accredited, hands-on, practical course providing the skills, knowledge and experience you need in order to enhance other people’s physical, intellectual, mental, and other areas of health by working with horses or ponies to achieve specific goals.

In other words, making lives better with the help of horses.

Your coaching sessions can be mounted (therapeutic horse-riding – TR), unmounted (equine-assisted learning – EAL) or a combination of both.

Accredited by Association for Coaching, this course includes

• Hands-on, practical experience

• Individual support

• Personal Development

• Small class sizes (max 4)

200 hours (minimum)

September – May

22 x in-person practical days at Horses Connect (1 day per week)

5 assignments (can be in any medium). Your Application Form is Assignment 1

You don’t need any formal qualifications, but you do need to be

• Confident and competent around horses, with ample experience

• Preferably over 21, but each application will be assessed on merit

• Available to attend 22 in-person sessions between September and May

• Open-minded and willing to unlearn a lot of what you think you already know about horses and people

• Coachable

• Aware of the importance of continuous personal and professional development, and willing to explore more.

• Reasonably physically fit – there’s a lot of walking and standing.

• Comfortable using email and other basic technology.

• Teaching/coaching experience preferred but not essential.
